MSL Begins Special Collections Renovations

By Marketing and Communications | 04-08-2016

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Renovations are scheduled to begin Monday on the Special Collections area of the Medical Sciences Library (MSL) at Texas A&M University.

Renovation work will occur between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Noise levels might become higher and elevators and walkways might become busier than normal during these times. The noisiest renovations are scheduled for completion about April 30. All renovations are scheduled for completion on Aug. 14.

The second floor renovations are designed to better display MSL’s historical collections and make the area flexible, open, and inviting.

“This is exciting,” said Nancy Burford, MSL’s veterinary collections curator. “We have a world-class historical collection in veterinary medicine and it will be a wonderful thing to be able to showcase it in a beautiful setting while adding to our user space.”

The Medical Sciences Library serves the Texas A&M community; specializes in medical, veterinary, agricultural, and life sciences subject areas; and is one of the Texas A&M University Libraries.
