Check Out
Important things to know about borrowing
- Any item checked out is subject to immediate recall if needed as a class reserve.
- You are financially responsible for items you have checked out.
Charges will be incurred for lost or damaged items. - Return items to book drops or hand them directly to a staff member.
Do NOT leave them on the Client Services Desk. If they are lost, you are responsible for their replacement.
Who has checkout privileges?
- Faculty, staff, students and affiliates of:
Texas A&M University (TAMU) Texas A&M University System Health Science Center (HSC) Texas A&M University System Agencies
- Texas veterinarians and Texas health care professionals.
- Family members of TAMU and HSC faculty or staff.
- Non-TAMU academic users who are cardholders of recognized library organizations, such as TexShare.
- General public or community users may check out materials, but must first purchase a library card.
Community member must be at least 18 years old. Valid government issued ID required. There is a $15 fee for the library card and the card expires after 1 year.
- Online access to resources is only available to TAMU and certain HSC affiliates.
