Recall/Renew

Recalls - item is needed ASAP

  • Faculty, staff, and student may recall any checked out item.
    MSL recalls items needed for reserves.
  • Recall Forms are available at the Client Services Desk.
  • Recalls online:
  1. Log into My Library Record
  2. Find the item in the catalog.
  3. Click the Requests button on the top menu bar.
  4. Select recall from the drop down menu.
  • Recall shortens the loan period.
    Original due date or renewal date is no longer valid.
    Holds request the item after it has been returned.
  • Keep your email current.
    MSL contacts you about recalls through email.
    Failure to return a recalled item can result in a loss of library services.
  • Recalled items are held at the MSL Client Services Desk for 5 day.

 

Renew

  • Cannot renew items over due, recalled, or with a hold request.
  • Renew by Phone, 979-845-7428.
  • Renew by online:
  1. Log into My Library Record.
  2. Scroll down to "Items Checked Out".
  3. Check the box next to item to be renewed.
  4. Click Renew Items button.
  • TAMU and TAMU HSC faculty, staff, and students may renew 3 times.
  • Other users may only renew one time.
