PubMed with LibKey

The TAMU Libraries is will begin piloting LibKey in PubMed the afternoon of Tuesday, February 16th. LibKey is an enhancement to the [Find Text @ TAMU] icon that appears to the right of the article abstract in PubMed results. LibKey is a product produced by Third Iron, the company that provides Browzine. LibKey accesses TAMU Libraries subscription information and can deliver direct access to the PDF where possible, skipping the step of landing first on the publisher page and then having to find the PDF icon. Added features include:

  • Select a default for the next 24 hours, direct to PDF or to the publisher page (link)
Advanced cookie-related browser security features may effect this feature
  • See the article in the context of that issue

What if TAMU Libraries doesn't have a subscription?
  • If a free version is available from another source, such as a repository, it will be presented to you.
  • If there is no version available, you will see the Find Text @ TAMU menu with the Get It For Me option.
Please give us your feedback. We what to know about your experience with LibKey to determine if we should expand its availability.
